First Visit

We are excited to meet you and your child. We want to be your child’s dental home—a place he or she can count on for a fun and effective dental visit, and a place where you can receive helpful information about your child’s oral health. Knowing what to expect at your first visit significantly adds to you and your child’s comfort and satisfaction. Our goal is to create a fun, supportive, non-fearful, and caring environment that allows your child to develop a positive and healthy outlook on dentistry and oral health.

Upon arriving you will be asked to complete the New Patient Info Form and get a chance to explore the toys and games in the waiting room. In the clinic we will get acquainted and gather information. While doing a thorough examination we will assess the need for any specific dental care and share tips on good oral health. Depending on your child’s age and caries risk assessment we may discuss taking digital x-rays to help make a complete diagnosis. Print and fill out the New Patient Form in advance to save time on your first visit.

Communicating With Your Child

You, as a parent or caregiver, play an important role in getting your child started with a good attitude toward dental care. You will want to keep conversations about your child’s upcoming visit “low key” and refrain from using any words that could cause unnecessary fear, such as “needle,” “drill,” or “hurt.” Be positive! This approach enables your child to view the upcoming dental visit as an enjoyable opportunity to learn and stay healthy. We are experienced in dealing with children with anxiety and can explain treatment procedures in a positive and pleasant manner to avoid any anxious or negative feelings toward dentistry. Treating your child is our passion. Restoring a happy, healthy child’s smile is very rewarding. Please help us gain cooperation from your child to have a wonderful dental experience.

Insurance / Payments

We accept all insurances and are happy to submit any dental benefit claims for you. In order to do so, we must have accurate and updated insurance information for both the patient and the primary policyholder prior to your appointment. We will make every effort to give you an estimate of your insurance coverage and will collect the estimated patient portion on the date of service. Please remember that ultimately you are responsible for payment of services. We cannot guarantee payment by your insurance company and any remaining balance will be patient responsibility. We are currently preferred providers with the following insurances: Delta Dental, Allegience, Healthy Montana Kids, Healthy Montana Kids Plus.
